What is Breast Augmentation?

Breast augmentation places implants into the breasts to improve their size, shape, or symmetry. This popular procedure uses either saline or silicone implants, which come in a wide range of shapes, sizes, and textures to give you the look and feel you want. Some procedures, such as trans-umbilical breast augmentation (TUBA), will require a saline implant. Breast implants can enhance breast fullness, projection, and shape. Patients with noticeable sagging or loose skin may also need a breast lift to give them a desirable shape and position. 

How Does Scar Less Breast Augmentation Work?

Dr. Vitolo will perform this procedure in his AAAASF-certified surgical facility with the aid of a board-certified anesthesiologist and a team of registered nurses and technicians. He will use the TUBA technique to provide a truly Scar Less breast augmentation. Through a small incision inside the belly button, Dr. Vitolo creates channels safely within the fat layer of the abdomen, then creates space under the breast tissue or under the muscle where the empty implant will be placed and filled with a saline solution (salt water) from outside the body.

How To Sleep After Breast Augmentation Surgery

You may need to sleep on your back after your augmentation surgery to make sure you do not shift your implants or put too much pressure on them. Dr. Vitolo will recommend how long you should sleep this way based on your individual procedure and healing process. While some surgeons will require patients to sleep sitting upright for several days, the Scar Less surgery minimizes trauma and recovery time, so no long term sleeping restrictions are necessary.

What is Recovery Like From Breast Augmentation Surgery?

Most people can return to work within one to two days after a Scar Less breast augmentation. If the procedure involves a breast lift, the recovery time will take a bit longer since this procedure involves an incision to remove loose skin. You may feel some soreness after your breast augmentation, which will fade within a few days. 

What Results Will I See From Breast Augmentation Surgery?

Your new breasts may take time to settle into their new position. While traditional breast augmentation will create a lot of swelling that can take months to subside, a Scar Less augmentation causes minimal stress or trauma to the tissue, resulting in minimal swelling. 

Am I a Good Candidate for Breast Augmentation Surgery?

Because the TUBA procedure involves minimal disruption to the body, most people make good candidates. If you have an interest in breast augmentation surgery, you may wish to consider this option. If you strongly prefer silicone implants, the Scar Less TUBA procedure will not make a good choice for you since silicone implants cannot be placed with this method.
