Breast Augmentation

There are two types of breast implants to choose from: saline or silicone. Although both types of implants have shells made of silicone rubber material, the difference between the two is how they are filled and what they are filled with.

Dr. Vitolo’s scarless technique is used for saline implants that are easily inserted through the body through minimal incisions. The implant is inserted and then filled with a saltwater solution through a valve allowing the versatility of volume adjustments during and after surgery.

Silicone breast implants typically require larger incisions than saline implants, but with our new “Gummy Bear” silicone- shaped implants your augmentation gives you a natural look that has high satisfaction rates.

Breast Lift

Breasts can change drastically throughout the course of a woman’s life due to age, childbirth, weight loss or gain all which can stretch the skin and tissue of the breast leaving them to sag. With a breast lift, Dr. Vitolo removes excess skin and moves the tissue to a higher position giving your breasts a perkier, more firm look. Patients often combine a reduction or enlargement with a breast lift in order to achieve the ideal breast shape they desire.

Transumbilical Breast Enlargement

For a quicker and shorter recovery period than the traditional breast augmentation Dr. Vitolo offers a “Transumbilical Breast Enlargement” that is inserted through the belly button and causes minimal trauma to the tissues. A tunnel is made by what is called an introducer, under the breast tissue. All air from the implant is removed so that it becomes flat. The flattened implant is then rolled up tightly and slipped up the tunnel that has been made by the introducer until it lies in the pocket underneath the breast. The filler tube extends out through the incision in the navel. Using a special syringe device, the implant is filled with sterile saline solution. As the implant is filled, it unrolls and creates a pocket for itself that is the exact size desired.

Breast Reduction
