How is a Neck Lift Done?

Dr. Vitolo starts any neck lift using external ultrasound-assisted liposculpture (EUAL) to safely break up and remove excess fat under the chin and around the jowls. In a traditional neck lift, he will create small hidden incisions and use them to lift and remove loose skin. An incision under the chin allows him to correct the appearance of neck bands and a sagging “turkey neck.” 

After a consultation, Dr. Vitolo may recommend a sling neck lift. This procedure gets its name from the technique, which uses a fine suture passed under the neck skin. This suture is secured behind each ear and acts as a sling to tighten and lift the neck area. You can achieve a slim, sculpted neck and jaw with no skin removal and only two tiny incisions.
